This is a log of things that inspire me on the internet & occasionally, a place to post my own artwork. I grew up in Nyack, NY. I just moved to Rochester, NY to manage a new boutique. you can find my art here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/ktburrr/ see what I'm listening to here: http://www.last.fm/user/ktburrr buy my art here: ktburrr.etsy.com |
being a mama to this little guy has been pretty exhausting.
I knew puppies were work, but oh my goodness.
I feel like I spend my entire day outside begging him to “go potty.”
But he’s the cutest thing in the world and slowly catching on to the whole training thing. Just gotta take a deep breath and remember he’s only 11 weeks old. I’m also tend to go a little overboard on things. I’m up at 6 am to walk him and I have an entire schedule laid out for each morning and evening with him. I will have a perfectly trained & happy doggie damnit!!
I “facetimed” with Sam last night and got to see little Junebug laying out on Sam’s chest. She looked happy and relaxed. I’m so happy she’s found such a good home with Sam.
I was so excited for Oliver to meet his “cousins,” the dogs of Tim’s siblings. Two bichons, and two poodles. (plus Tim’s schnoodle Charlie), but Ollie was mostly content just to be passed around and sleeping in people’s arms. He’s been a great little puppy so far. he’s only 9 weeks, but he’s catching on quickly to potty training, with only 1 or 2 accidents per day.
I picked up this little boy yesterday. Named him Oliver
One of Tim’s shirts.
a girl made this shirt for Tim’s dad when he was in high school in the 70s. In addition to the embroidery, the shirt itself is also hand made. crazy.
I’ve been hard at work packing and cleaning up my apartment as I prepare to move to Tim’s. My parents are visiting next weekend for my birthday so hopefully we’ll have both my apartment and Tim’s house in some sort of order…
I had a wonderful Easter with Tim’s family. As we sat down to brunch, Tim’s brother and sister-in-law gave us all an easter egg to open. Inside was an ultrasound picture!! I’m thrilled for them. It’ll be the first grandchild for Tim’s parents. Rachel and two of her best girlfriends are all pregnant at the same time. I think that’s so amazing. I’d love to be pregnant at the same time as my best friends. How fun—setting up your future kids to all be friends too.
The absolute hardest part of this move is that Junebug won’t be moving with me. This furry little creature has been my best friend for these past two years. Me and Tim spent months and many tears discussing what to do. He is very very allergic to her. I’m so lucky to have a best friend in NYC that loves Junebug. She was even the person who suggested her name! Her cat died last year and she’s been sad without a kitty in her life. As soon as I told her about what we were struggling with, she offered to give Junebug a good home. & I know she will, but I’ve been an absolute wreck about it. I’ll miss her so much.
Crazy cat

Can we all start living in our twenties and stop reading lists about living in our twenties?
